The company specialized in recording of acoustic music for film, classical genres – contemporary music, instrumental concertos, opera and symphonic music, as well as games, pop pieces and comersicals.

An important aspect of our business is the recording of film music. The Forward Records ’s team of professionals together with Bulgarian Recording Company and Philharmonia Bulgariaca has recorded music for projects produced by HBO, National Geographic and other companies from USA, Great Britain, Russia, Germany, Malta, Greece and Ireland.

Over 50 CD’s recorded and produced or co-produced by the Bulgarian Recording Company are printed and distributed under the labels of renowned companies such as ERM Media – Chicago, BMG – Greece, Centaur Records -USA, SPH – Japan, Stageone – S. Korea, Albany records – USA, Fontec – Japan, Wildflower recordings – USA, Summit records – USA, Da Vinci – Swiss, Polytropon – Greece distributed by Universal music.

Repeatedly CD’s and film music recorded by the orchestra received prizes and nominations for different awards amongst all: winner of the 2006 JPF Award for Best Classical Album of the Year for the CD Masterworks of the New Era – Volume Two (2004), nomination for Grammy classical album of the year for the CD Masterworks of the New Era – Volume One (2004), Swiss Film Score Award for God’s Waiting List (2006) on Locarno International Film Festival, Silver Medal for Excellence for L’Ecart (2007) on Park City Film Music Festival, Best Music Award for The Sparrows In October (2006) on Golden Chest TV Festival, Best Music Award Golden Rose for The Sparrows In October (2006) from the Union of Bulgarian Film Makers, Best Music Award for animation The Rag (2007) on Golden Chest TV Festival.
